Okeechobee Arrest Report

The following individuals were arrested on felony or driving under the influence (DUI) charges by the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), the Okeechobee City Police Department (OCPD), the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the Department of Corrections (DOC) or the Okeechobee Narcotics Task Force (ONTF).

  • Rebecca Velasquez, 46, Southwest 44th Street, was arrested April 22 by OCSO and charged with one count petit theft third or subsequent offense and two counts possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. Bond was set at $12,500.
  • Rebecca Velasquez, 46, Southwest 44th Street, was arrested April 24 by OCSO Sgt. David Rogers and charged with petit theft/third or subsequent offense. Bond was set at $5,000.
  • Chad Broadrick was arrested April 21 by OCSO and charged with three counts child abuse and three counts aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
  • Harvey Barr Jr., 25, Northwest 11th Street, was arrested April 23 by OCSO Deputy Victor Gonzalez and charged with battery/inmate on inmate. Bond was set at $5,000.
  • Loren Johnston, 38, Southwest 28th Street, was arrested Aoril 23 by ONTF and charged with fleeing law enforcement, resisting arrest and driving without a license. Bond was set at $3,250.
  • Isidoro Castilleja, 35, Southwest 13th Terrace, was arrested April 22 by OCSO Deputy Eric Gauroniak and charged with hindering contact with law enforcement and battery. Bond was set at $2,500.
  • Jimmie Howling, 78, Southeast 94th Trail, was arrested April 23 by ONTF and charged with possession of narcotics. Bond was set at $100,000.
  • Courtney Adams, 31, Northwest 28th Avenue, was arrested April 25 by ONTF and charged with possession of narcotics. Bond was set at $1,000.
  • Bert Crawford IV, 46, Lake Placid, was arrested April 26 by OCSO Deputy Anthony Medina and charged with three counts possession of narcotics and one count possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $211,000.
  • Tasheka Newkirk, 31, Mims Fla, was arrested April 27 by OCSO Deputy Alejandra Russelburg and charged with possession of marijuana less than 20 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and introduction of contraband into a detention facility. Bond was set at $17,000.
  • Steven Mills, 35, at large, was arrested April 28 by OCSO Deputy Jennifer Fairtrace and charged with burglary with assault, child abuse, possession of burglary tools and hindering contact with law enforcement. Bond was set at $115,000.
  • James Jenkins, 39, Northeast 120th Street, was arrested April 25 by OCSO Detective Javier Gonzalez and charged with two counts cruelty to animals and one count aggravated cruelty to animals. Bond was set at $4,000.
  • Daryl Tomblin, 41, Northeast 224th Street, was arrested April 29 by ONTF and charged with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $251,000.
  • Gilbert Tagle was arrested April 30 and charged with battery, two counts possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and burglary. No further information has been released.
